NATIONWIDE PRACTICE IN FEDERAL EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR LAW

At Solomon, Maharaj & Kasimati, we represent Federal Government employees throughout the United States.  We help defend clients from terminations, disciplinary actions, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation.  We also assist clients to assert their rights when they have been hurt at work or need a reasonable accommodation to stay productive in the workplace.

We represent and defend federal sector employees in any position, at any pay grade, for any federal agency. We understand the high stakes associated with disciplinary action and or termination so we fight to protect all that you have achieved.

Our focus is federal employment law, and therefore our law firm has experience representing clients in matters before many federal agencies and organizations, including:

Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB)— Our attorneys have provided proactive counsel for employee investigations and proposed disciplinary actions, and skilled representation in disciplinary proceedings and MSPB hearings and appeals.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) —Our attorneys help clients pursue compensation through the EEOC administrative realm and or Federal court for employment discrimination, reverse discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, whistleblower retaliation and qui tam lawsuits. Our attorneys can also help clients file appropriate necessary appeals with the EEOC Office of Federal Operations (OFO).

Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP)— Our attorneys advocate for federal employees in obtaining and retaining workers' comp. medical and wage benefits, including but not limited to representation in OWCP appeals.

Disciplinary Appeals Board (DAB)— An administrative board that handles appeals of disciplinary actions against certain VA employees, mostly physicians and nurses, in which the employee receives a hearing in front of their peers from around the country.  Our attorneys have experience with VA specific issues and fight to give the accused a fair opportunity to present their defenses.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)— Arbitrations and Mediations are avenues for which adverse employment actions, labor disputes, and or grievances can be resolved. Our experienced attorneys can offer representation in Federal employment and or labor arbitration if and when that forum is appropriate. Additionally, our attorneys have handled many successful mediations with numerous federal agencies and can provide assistance with Mediation should that avenue be more appropriate.

Our firm takes great pride in protecting your rights, your career and your retirement.

No matter where in the United States you are located, if you are a federal government employee or federal contractor, please contact our firm to discuss your claims! Our legal team is passionately waiting to guide you through the system and advocate for your rights.

Veterans and Military Issues

Veterans, members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families may be eligible for a broad range of programs and services provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DOD).  If you have an injury or disease that was treated while you were on active duty or if your active duty service made an existing injury or disease worse, then you may qualify for disability compensation. However, as many service members and veterans are aware, this process can be time consuming, difficult to understand, and frustrating.

The amount of compensation you may qualify for depends on a number of factors and having a VA Accredited attorney to assist you with the  claims process can help alleviate some of the headaches and frustrations caused by this complex system that was set up to help our nation's veterans get the compensation that they are rightfully owed after putting their lives on the line for us.   Our legal staff has experience with dealing with medical disability matters and is here to help shepherd you through the VA process to help ensure your claim has the best likelihood for success!
